PHOTO DAY 11: Pop of Colour

Brief:  Use one colour to add life or drama to your shot.

I’m not very good at following instructions and when I saw this in the greenhouse it took by breath away.  I was not expecting the true leaves on the carob seedling to be such a vivid red and against the strong green leaves it just stands out.  But the image also needed some kind of background so I set it against some neutral hay.  So I’ve kind of used three colours.  Green and red are kinda opposite on the colour wheel so I think I may have gotten away with it.

I was not expecting that. Such beautiful vibrant true leaves on my carob seedlings

Just to see how awesome this is I cropped the photo

    • Hi Eden. I have never grown carob before and was really surprised to see the true leaves being so red and delicate against the strong green seed leaves. I’m also looking forward to attempting to make carob chocolate one day in the future.

    • Thanks. I was not expecting it to be that colour. As the seedling grows it is fading from such a brilliant red to more of a muddy green colour. I love growing things for the first time because you have no idea how it will turn out.
