This time next week I’ll be in a completely different season.

And I have never longed for a date to change on a calendar so much.  I want to just put this horrible spring behind us and never speak of it again!  Well maybe I will.  It can be referred to as “That spring”  or ‘The Dreadful Spring of 2014”  forever burnt into our memories as being so dire I went as far as to put a dirty old compost bag on my head to save my seedlings from hail carnage!

But even the plants seem to be eager for the season change as the growth in my garden in the last week has been amazing.  Come for an early morning tour and see for yourself.

Come again soon – I still have to sort out that irrigation in anticipation of a sunny summer, starting next week!

    • HI Julie, I have never moaned and bleated about a terrible season more! Spring is suppose to be full of promise, not misery!
After years of half hearted attempts, this year I shall make more of an effort to sort out my irrigation system.
      Bring on summer!
      Cheers Sarah : o )

  1. What do you mean “a gardener is never in control?!” Oh…now I get it.

Your garden is looking wonderful Sarah. Even the ‘sulking cucumbers’ will be out of their rut soon.

I love asparagus, but just don’t have the space to grow that you do. Our neighbors turned over their entire front yard into an edible garden and they just started an asparagus crop. I’ll be anxious to see how they do.

Meanwhile, I’ve finally had some quiet moments to enjoy your wonderful book. What a treat. I’m learning as I go, too.
