It was another gorgeous blue sky day today – the kind you can sense the spring in the air. Just a hint mind you. But that hint is enough to set hope and wishful thinking into action. Dreams of the perfect season fill my head. My instinct is to put on my gumboots and do a bit of digging. But alas no. Not today. I had to put on my fancy shoes and head into the big city.
It wasn’t all motorway madness and high rise concrete jungles. Just because there were no cows or tractors, it didn’t mean you couldn’t see traces of spring. There was a monarch butterfly floating on the air, alighting briefly on a wheelybin. At one point we parked the car near a magnificent flowering magnolia tree with beautiful purple blooms. And that sense of spring was just as evident as I walked into my meetings. The seasons are stirring. There is change afoot.
Now just because I wasn’t able to be in my garden today, doesn’t mean I haven’t been at all. Check out what’s been going on in my latest video:
Come again soon – there is so much to do to get ready for the new season.

I was thinking this morning how our days are getting shorter. I have to put my bedside table light on first thing. Ah well. 🙂

Hi Virginia. It is interesting how subtly yet swiftly the change between seasons happens. Our evenings are much lighter now, although it is still a little cold.
Cheers Sarah : o )

I love autumn, just not the winter it drags in!
