As good as gold…

I am always up for a challenge and when I saw these fancy carrot seeds I just had to have them. They weren’t cheap, but I think it will be worth the investment in the long run. Germination can be a little tricky but so long as you don’t sow them too thickly it should be ok. I’ve used 24 seeds and I’m hoping for the very best!

24 carrot gold seeds

Carrot Gold seeds are really quite pretty.

This April is all set to be an awesome month, and we are starting it off with half a house and will end it with so much more.

Come again soon – there is so much going on, I’m not sure where to start.

  1. It’s so exciting getting seeds started 🙂 Middle Mudlet and I are going to be setting the squash, pumpkins, beans and some Asparagus Peas (have you seen them? They look fab and we’re really excited about them) seeds off tomorrow 😀 x

    • Oh it is the best time of year. I tried asparagus peas a few years back – the key is to harvest them while they are small – around an inch – no more than two or they will be stringy. The flavour when fried in butter was delish! Oh and give them lots of room – they tend to sprawl! : o)

  2. I’m intrigued as to what type of carrot you will grow from such fancy schmancy seeds. I look forward to some photos in due course…
